Mission Statement

Associated Pharmacies, Incorporated, (API), is the warehousing and purchasing subsidiary of American Associated Pharmacies, or AAP. In operation since April 1987--API's purpose: Provide independent pharmacy owners the opportunity to buy like a chain. Today's members participate in programs that offer savings on brand, generic, and OTC products. Many pharmacy owners credit AAP for allowing their pharmacies to thrive instead of just survive in today's constantly changing marketplace. AAP's central office is always working on new programs and communicates daily with other co-ops nationwide. AAP members are kept current with contacts and information that impact independent pharmacy owners. The benefits of group participation grow constantly. Supply pharmaceutical and health and beauty aid items to independently owned pharmacies throughout the United States at discounted, volume price. Keep current with the changing pharmacy environment, design and implement programs, as necessary, to give members the tools needed to compete and thrive in the marketplace. Keep members current on changes in the industry that impact their business. Create a network of independent pharmacy owners that function cooperatively. Serve as the representative for those pharmacies; thereby, presenting a unified voice in marketing and contracting for members, independent pharmacy owners.
